The longest, single-span, log bridge in the world connects the newly opened Fountains over County Road 489. Fountains was carved out of a hardwoods forest to produce a popular combination of six par 5's, 4's, and 3's. Surprisingly, the finishing hole is a par 3, which plays over water accented by fountains. Take M-32 east from Gaylord to the Lewiston sign at 491, turn right (south) ten miles.
When it comes to golf,
Garland Resort's four courses overflow with beauty, diversity and
wildlife, making this golf experience much like a relaxing nature walk.
Northern Michigan's celebrated AAA Four-Diamond log lodge
resort offers 72 holes of challenging golf woven into more than 3,500
acres of the state's most scenic forests, lakes and streams. Nature and
golf blend so well, in fact, that resident nesting bald eagles can be
viewed from Garland's fairways.
